Describing experiences
Introduction
In block II you will learn to describe experiences putting in practice new vocabulary related to
travel, vacation activities and some food around the world. Reading and writing exercises will
help you learn the grammar structure of the present perfect tense and you will revise what you
have learned about the simple past. Because practicing your speaking skills is an important
step in learning a new language, you will practice role-playing dialogues applying what you
have learned.
Let’s begin
People travel ²or di³erent purposes; some ²or business and as part o²
their job they spend a lot of time in airports or bus stations. Other people
travel to go on vacations. Some like to relax and do nothing, while others
prefer to be active and for instance swim, go to museums, and explore
cities and towns. Also many people travel to visit their family who live in
another place. Have you ever traveled?
